Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my new dentures take?
New dentures require between 5 and 6 appointments. If you have a special date that you are working towards we will do our best to accommodate this. Please see our ‘Meet The Team’ page for an idea as to what you can expect at each appointment.
Can you make my new dentures look the same as my old ones?
If you are happy with the appearance of your current dentures we can match the colour, size and shape of the teeth as well as the shape of the denture itself. Whatever it is that you like or dislike about your current denture we can take this into consideration when making your new denture.
Can I come straight to you or do I need to see my dentist first?
You can come straight to see us. If you have some natural teeth remaining we will book you an extra appointment to see our on-site dentist. He will carry out an oral examination, if he thinks that you need some dental treatment before you continue with your new denture he will advise you to go and see your regular dentist first. There is no additional charge to see our on-site dentist however we are unable to provide any on site dentistry.
Do I need an appointment?
If you have a denture that needs repairing (i.e. you have all of the broken parts) then you don’t need to book an appointment. If there is another service you require then you would need to book an appointment. This can be done either in person or by phone. Our telephone number is 01708 474044
I’ve had some teeth extracted can you add them to my existing denture?
If you have lost some teeth either due to them falling out on their own or your dentist extracting them for you, we can usually add to your existing denture. You can book in as soon as the area is no longer sore to touch. It is a service we carry out the same day. You would need to book an appointment to come in for an impression. You will then be without your denture for roughly three hours while we add the tooth/teeth onto your denture. You would then need to come back again later the same day to have the denture fitted and check that the new tooth/teeth are comfortable.
How long will a denture repair take?
We aim complete repairs while you wait and you don’t need an appointment. They usually take between an hour and an hour and a half depending on the type of repair required.
Where abouts in Hornchurch are you?
We are situated in Billet Lane. The end closest towards the high street. We are opposite Sainsbury’s delivery bay.
Where can I park?
We have enough space on our driveway for three cars. There is also a council pay and display car park less than 50m from us on the corner of Keswick Avenue. Alternatively, Sainsbury’s car park is less than 50m away and if free for two hours.
Are you easily accessible?
We are situated on the ground floor so are very accessible. However there are three steps leading up to our front door. We do have a handrail alongside these steps and we also have a bell outside if you need any assistance up the steps.
Can you come to me?
If you are unable to come to us, home visits can be arranged. Call us on 01708 474 044 to discuss this option.
Are you open at the weekend?
Unfortunately not. We are open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm but we close between 1pm and 2pm for lunch.
My dentures are loose - is there anything you can do?
Most dentures become loose after a while, as your mouth is constantly changing. If you book in to see one of our clinical dental technicians, we will be able to see what type of denture you have and if there is anything we can do to improve the fit of your current denture or we can provide replacement dentures.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all of Essex including Hornchurch, Romford, Upminster, Brentwood, Dagenham, Barking, Rainham, South Ockendon, Purfleet, Grays, Billericay, Loughton, Chigwell, Woodford, Ilford and Buckhurst Hill.

My mum's dentures were lost when she went into hospital - we could not get an NHS appt for at least 1 month and then she would not have had her dentures for another 10 weeks. Havering Denture Studio booked her in the same day, and in less than 2 weeks, she had 3 appointments, and her denture were fitted. The staff were really friendly and helpful, my mum has dementia and they treated her with kindness and consideration.????
